A wildlife conservationist has captured disturbing scenes of plastic in fishing nets. Srikanth Mannepuri documented a catch in the Indian port city of Visakhapatnam in March 2021. It shows fish trapped within carrier bags and a large amount of plastic wrapping from brands including snickers and head & shoulders shampoo. Srikanth explains: "We all know the curso of plastics. It's permanence. They do not disintegrate, they do not disappear. No, look at the scale." "Imagine the scale of plastic floating in these oceans for years as death-traps and choking hazards."
