Tattoo artist inks wife with ‘RIP TikTok’ only to learn the US ban has been lifted

Timing is everything. Travis Meisenzahl from Mesa, Arizona, was finishing up some skin art on his wife, commemorating TikTok’s 9-year run in the US, when he found out the app’s US ban had been lifted. The tattoo artist, known as Jucebox, can be heard laughing hysterically along with his wife as he takes video of her fresh ink showing a TikTok gravestone reading 2016-2025. The video then pans to a phone screen with a "Welcome back!" message popping up from the app. Luckily they both found humor in the situation with Meisenzahl saying, “Being in the tattoo industry we like to do silly things.” The Chinese-owned app was banned by former President Joe Biden right as he was leaving office. Even though the US Supreme Court upheld the ban, it only lasted for half-a-day after President Trump took office and pledged to restore it.
