90% of Countries Have a National Biodiversity Target. but Only a Third Are on Track to Reach It

This is according to the latest UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) report, which reveals the 3 SDGs the world is closest to achieving. Corporate sustainability data has tripled since the SDGs were introduced. In 2022, 67 governments reported to the UN about the sustainability of their resource procurement. However, in 2021, the world lost 13.2% of its food post-harvest. This figure is unchanged since 2016. Of around 140 measurable targets in the SDGs, only 12% are on track, says a new UN report. Half are moderately or severely off-track. 30% have seen no progress or have even gone backwards since 2015. Which of the 17 SDGs do you think we’ll reach first?
