House Democrats, led by House Administration Committee Chair Joe Morelle (D-NY) and Rep. James Walkinshaw (D-VA), held a field meeting on strengthening voting rights and election security with local election officials, civil rights and voting rights advocates in Fairfax, Virginia. Among the participants were Democracy Forward President and CEO Skye Perryman, NAACP Virginia State Conference President Rev. Cozy Bailey, and League of Women Voters of the United States Government Affairs Director Jessica Jones Capparell.
