Beyoncé super-fan Jon Hetherington missed the chance to see his idol perform live after an airline couldn’t accommodate his wheelchair. Hetherington’s wheelchair was 4 inches too tall to fit on the plane, which in turn saw him miss Beyoncé’s Seattle show. "The guy at the counter said your wheelchair exceeded the requirements and we couldn't resolve the issue," Hetherington told Insider. Hetherington explained in a TikTok video that went viral, “after 25 years of waiting, I’m not seeing Beyoncé. Ableism strikes again." An army of Queen B fans flooded the comments trying to get the popstar’s attention and offering their tickets to future shows, which he declined. One fan-page on X claimed that Beyoncé's publicist had since followed Hetherington on Instagram.
