Judge Allows Diddy To Wear His Own Clothing During Trial

A federal judge in New York has allowed Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to wear personal clothing instead of jail attire during his upcoming sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy trial.  Judge Arun Subramanian approved the request from Combs' legal team for the trial beginning May 5, 2025, with jury selection. Combs is permitted five button-down shirts, five pairs of pants, five sweaters, five pairs of socks, and two pairs of lace-free shoes for the trial.  His legal team requested a two-month delay to review witness information and new charges, but the judge rejected their request.  The judge ruled that the defense, which has at least four attorneys, had been given enough time and would not be granted a “fishing expedition.” Prosecutors allege Combs abused women for over two decades, leveraging his fame to silence victims through threats and violence, including kidnapping and arson.  They claim he orchestrated drug-fueled sexual events involving male sex workers, known as "Freak Offs." Combs' attorneys argue that the government is misrepresenting consensual relationships with former girlfriends as criminal behavior.
