Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen has said he would “absolutely” use the number 1 on his car if he won the world title. Verstappen currently leads the drivers’ championship with just a few races remaining. The 24-year-old has now confirmed that he would take up the option to use number 1 as his car number. The Red Bull driver said that he doesn’t know how many times he would have the opportunity to use it. "How many times do you have the opportunity to drive with number one?", Max Verstappen. The number 1 has been reserved for the use of the world champion since the introduction of permanent numbers in 2014. The number was last used in 2014 by Sebastian Vettel after his title win in 2013. Since then, Lewis Hamilton has preferred to keep his number 44, while Nico Rosberg retired after winning his championship.
