Climate activists stage dirty oil protest outside COP26 venue in Glasgow

'Oil head' characters from activist group Ocean Rebellion poured 75 litres of 'oil' on the ground outside the Hydro, Glasgow's COP26 climate change conference venue, Glasgow, Scotland, Friday 29 October 2021. The sticky oily mess was cleaned up by some 'dirty scrubbers', a band of ‘cleaners’ from the activist group who said they would "greenwash anyone's dirty business". The United Kingdom will host global leaders from around the world for the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021.
