The tornado's winds brought down trees and power lines across the area. The severe storm system swept through Fort Worth in Fallas around 6 a.m., prompting a tornado warning in Garland, Richardson, Mesquite and several areas along the storm's path. Residents in Garland are now dealing with the aftermath. Damage is extensive in the Park Groves neighbourhood, along Miller Road and Garland Avenue near downtown Garland. Officials said that at least one person has been killed and more than 600,000 residents were left without power as powerful storms hit the state. Hurricane-force gusts across Dallas moved to Houston on Tuesday afternoon.
