Author John Jenkins looked back at the summer before Watergate and recounted pivotal events unfolding between May and September of 1971 that shaped the America of that time - and, he argued, that now reach into the challenges of the 21st century. His book research delved into personal papers, diaries, and oral histories of contemporary characters. The Boston Athenaeum hosted this event.
