Pickleball & Mental Health: This study shows the benefits of playing this popular sport

A new year brings new trends, goals, and passions. Even with all the new, one thing is certain: pickleball is here to stay. This sport, loved by many, is an all-year-round hobby that offers numerous benefits. Recent research suggests that sharing this love with children and grandchildren can be particularly beneficial. BYU psychology professor Paul Caldarella conducted a study to explore how pickleball affects youth mental health. Paul started playing pickleball during COVID-19 with his son. He noticed that his son was in a much better mood when playing pickleball, which sparked his interest in studying its effects on youth.
