Kochi: Kottayam SP Hari Sankar said that Bishop Franco Mulakkal will be arrested only if they get convincing proof. A final decision in this regard will be taken only after assessing the statements of the bishop, nuns and witnesses. He also made it clear that there is no hindrance to arrest him. The High Court has not stopped the arrest. There are no pressures on the investigation team. Only limited scientific evidences will be available in a case that is about four-years-old. The witness statements are more important in this investigation, for which more time is required. Investigation into the case is progressing rapidly. He added that the investigation team is satisfied over the probe till date.
