If you’re gearing up to get beach-ready, don’t be discouraged if your body hardly looks different after a month. A recent survey reveals that it takes an average of six weeks of a new fitness regime before noticeable physical changes occur. Despite initial slow progress, once people start seeing results, 54% find it easier to maintain their routine. The survey highlights that primary fitness goals include weight loss (43%), increased strength (43%), and improved mobility (35%). However, 48% worry about losing motivation, and 65% believe this motivation wanes over time, typically needing a boost after four weeks. Diet plays a crucial role in fitness motivation for 89% of respondents, with nearly three in 10 lacking sufficient protein. This deficiency is more pronounced among Gen X and women. Despite these challenges, 61% are willing to increase protein intake to meet their goals. Overall, half remain optimistic, believing their best physical days are ahead, buoyed by the initial signs of progress in their fitness routines.
