The impact of 2018 wildfire season is affecting spring runoff, especially with more ash and sediment flowing into Utah Lake. The researchers have to also factor the volume of water going into the lake this year, because of the heavy snowfall, yet indicators show this runoff is being helpful for the local ecosystems.
