In a wild pitch to President Donald Trump, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier offered a 36-square-mile plot of land in the Everglades rife with alligators and pythons to “house as many as 1,000 criminal aliens.” Uthmeier dubbed the “virtually abandoned airport facility” in the middle of the everglades “alligator alcatraz.”
