RSPCA rescues fox with head stuck in bottle

The RSPCA was called it to rescue a fox that had its head stuck in a plastic bottle in Plaistow. A worker in a carpark in Ladywell Street called for help after spotting the stricken animal, which had collapsed in a bush and gasping for air. The RSPCA says the incident highlighted how dangerous litter can be to animals. In the past two years, the animal welfare charity has received an average of 11 calls a day about animals injured or caught up in litter.
