Spain’s Sagrada Familia has become the world’s tallest church after workers installed the first section of a massive cross atop its central Jesus Christ tower, now surpassing Germany’s Ulm Minster. The milestone marks the start of the basilica’s final construction phase, with completion of the 172.5-meter tower and a centenary celebration for architect Antoni Gaudí planned for next year.
