The winter solstice, December 21, is the darkest day of the year. Afterwards, days slowly start getting lighter and lighter. You can use this natural event as a metaphor for your life. After a dark year, let light back in. Angela Redding, with The Spirituality Project, shares three ways to do that. It starts with a pause. Take a moment in your day to light a candle, turn off the lights, and be still. She also suggests writing a letter to God, acknowledging some of the darkness you may have felt this year.
