Selena Gomez has revealed that she is engaged to producer Benny Blanco via a post on Instagram. The 32-year-old singer shared the news with a photo of her engagement ring and a picture of the couple hugging with the caption, "forever begins now." Blanco, 36, confirmed the news, commenting, "hey wait… that’s my wife," under the post. The musician previously said, on 'The Howard Stern Show,' that he could see himself marrying Gomez. Blanco told Stern, “When I look at her … I’m always just like, I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.” The pair have known each other for years, having first collaborated on the 2019 single 'I Can't Get Enough' before they began dating last year. In an interview with TIME, Gomez noted that if the two hadn’t met, her plans included adopting a baby. "Without getting into too much detail, I think it's just really important to meet someone that respects you. And I think it's really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. But I'd have to say overall it's the safest that I feel and it's been really lovely and I've only grown through it, so it's awesome," said Gomez.
