There has been significant tension between Republican lawmakers and the Supreme Court over the last few years because of their decisions. The Utah Legislature has also tangled with lower court judges, including one who recently adopted a new congressional map. Today Gov. Spencer Cox said he supports the plan to expand the high court, but he poured cold water on doing anything else big in that area right now.
