Cancun, Mexico - September 24, 2024 Tropical Storm Helene passed near the coast of Cancun, Mexico, overnight on September 24-25, bringing strong winds and heavy rain as it intensified while moving north. The National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday that the storm would “rapidly intensify to a major hurricane” as it headed north towards Florida.
