Utah DABS releases new training tool to prevent bars and restaurants from overserving alcohol

A new tool is now out to help address recent concerns with alcohol in Utah. On Thursday, the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services announced a new training tool to help waiters and bartenders not overserve their customers. The goal is all about preventing drinking and driving. The DABS said there are too many crashes with drunk drivers, and a number of bars and restaurants are overserving alcohol. They said if you can cut back on that, you can also cut down on the crashes. Here’s just a snapshot: Over the past two months, Utah has had 217 alcohol related car crashes, and cited nearly 3,000 impaired drivers.
