Sannidanam: More dramatic scenes unfolded in Sabarimala on Sunday as another woman from Andhra Pradesh reached till the ‘nadapanthal’. Suspecting her age, some devotees blocked her and examined her identitiy proof. They staged a protest after verifying that the woman was 46 years old. Following this, police reached the spot and took the woman to Pampa. Palamma, a native of Andhra, arrived at the shrine unaware of the customs, said police. “The woman arrived till the nadapanthal claiming she is 52 years old. But after examining her ID proof, it was confirmed that her age was 46 years,” said a devotee. Devotees intensified the protest in the shrine when the woman arrived here. Police arrived at the sannidanam to bring the situation under control. On Sunday morning, two other women also made an attempt to trek Sabarimala.
