Ahead of day one of the United Nations General Assembly, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and President Trump held a news conference following a closed-door meeting at Gracie Mansion, where they said they discussed affordability, housing policy, and immigration. When asked about his recent decision to ban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House, the president responded, "If they're fake news, I really think I have an obligation not to allow them into another very special house. This is a special house, Gracie Mansion. Well, the White House is the most special of all houses." When asked about Haitian migrants in the country who had Temporary Protected Status, Mr. Trump said, "I feel strongly about taking care of people. ... We're doing a good job of it."
