LA Mayor Karen Bass wants over-taxed homeowners to cough up money for new city streetlights

A plan to stick Los Angeles homeowners with the bill to fix city streetlights as thieves routinely ravage them for pricey copper wire has residents outraged as they face hundreds of dollars in additional taxes. Ballots have begun popping in Angelenos’ mailboxes asking them to fork over even more cash in property fees each year to replace 200,000 streetlights across the city.
