The US state of Florida has passed an expansion of its so-called "Don't say gay" law. The legislation bans teachers from discussing sexual orientation or gender identity in the classroom. The previous ban placed restrictions on students up to age 9 and the new law expands that to all students in public school. The move is part of a recent wave of laws targetting the gay and trans community across the US and championed by Florida's Republican governor, Ron Desantis, who may run for president.
