Elon Musk Accused Of Copying "I, Robot" Design

Director Alex Proyas, known for his 2004 film 'I, Robot,' has accused Elon Musk's company Tesla of copying designs from his movie.  The controversy arose following Tesla’s “We, Robot” event, which showcased the company's new Optimus robot, Robovan, and the new Cybercab vehicle. In a post on Musk's social media platform X, Proyas expressed his frustration, sharing side-by-side comparisons of Tesla’s designs and the robots and vehicles from 'I, Robot.' Proyas sarcastically asked Musk, “Can I have my designs back?” while other filmmakers echoed concerns about Tesla’s creativity and originality in its robotics developments. The Optimus robot is designed to assist with home tasks and will be available for purchase at a price range of $20,000 to $30,000. Musk has said that the Tesla robots can do “basically anything you want” from mowing your lawn to getting the groceries. Rapper 2 Chainz shared a video on his Instagram story featuring a conversation he had with the new Tesla robot.
