The Big One: Florida's Rescue Dogs

Florida Task Force 1 has brought in some four-legged helpers to assist in the location and potential rescue of victims trapped in the rubble of the Champlain Towers South. The dogs have many advantages over human rescuers since they are able to distribute their weight across all four limbs and have over 300 million smell receptors where humans only have 6 million. The key to their training involves limiting distractions so they can focus on the task at hand.
