Portland, Oregon, resident Kelsey Smith released home surveillance footage of a homeless woman entering her home and laying down on her child's bed. The woman, Terri Lynn Zinser, 54, fled the house after being discovered by Smith and was placed in jail on burglary and harassment charges, only to be released the next day under a "court ordered release" without bail. "I feel like the city is declining rapidly and there is a need for more mental health services, more training for the police, probably more police, more community outreach, but I don’t know,” Smith told Fox 12 Oregon. The incident "speaks volumes about what our society needs to be doing differently," Smith told Breitbart News. "While it's easy to look at the situation and see a woman with a history of institutionalization walking into a stranger's home to take a nap as 'crazy' or 'drug-fueled' we have to look at the bigger picture. Our support systems have visibly failed her."
