The Rivers Trust teams up with Thetford community groups to clean the town’s rivers

A community of eco-warriors have been fishing out litter in and around a town’s river, as part of a nation-wide project to prevent plastic pollution making it out to sea. Thetford Conservation Group and the Thetford River Group were out in full force on Wednesday, April 28, as part of efforts to collect and record vital data on plastic waste. The groups were invited to take part by The Rivers Trust, who are coordinating the Preventing Plastic Pollution (PPP) project and are focusing their efforts on the Little Ouse and River Thet in Norfolk.
