Jacob Elordi Calls ‘The Kissing Booth’ Movies “Ridiculous”

Although Jacob Elordi may have 'The Kissing Booth' movies to thank for helping launch his career, that doesn’t mean he enjoyed the experience.  Speaking with GQ, the Australian actor reflected on his 2018 breakout role, saying, “I didn’t want to make those movies before I made those movies.” "Those movies are ridiculous. They’re not universal. They’re an escape… I remember saying, 'He smokes in the book. I need to smoke,’" said Elordi.  He played Noah Flynn, the love interest of Elle Evans (Joey King) and the older brother of the best friend, Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney).  As their characters were in a love triangle, Elordi stated that these movies were a “trap” and "you’re dead inside.” He does not care about coming across as “pretentious” and said he is now happier working on more fulfilling projects.  Elordi's upcoming films include Sofia Coppola’s 'Priscilla' and Emerald Fennell’s 'Saltburn.'
