The crisis is global, yet will impact countries, and people and regions within countries, differently and to different degrees. Some communities will face extreme food and energy insecurity, potentially leading to or worsening social discontent. While advanced economies might be better able to cope, the actions they take will have impacts beyond their borders. What global priorities and multistakeholder actions are imperative to mitigate these interrelated risks threatening food security worldwide, while reinforcing urgency for inclusive, environmentally sustainable and healthy food systems for all?
