Tamil Nadu government, through the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation TIDCO, has established three Centres of Excellence at Tidel Park, Chennai. Each CoE is a tie-up with a different MNC majors to provide cutting-edge tech and learning for the state’s MSMEs and start-ups. All three CoEs were inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin last year. Tamil Nadu Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing TANCAM has been set up with Dassault Systemes at an investment of ₹211.97 crore. The CoE will help growth in industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive and EVs. Another CoE TANSAM is in a tie-up with Siemens at an investment of ₹252 crore. This CoE has 3D printers, collaborative robots, inspection equipment, VR/AR, and scanners to enable training on software along with real-life applications. Tamil Nadu Advanced Manufacturing Centre of Excellence, TAMCoE, in a tie-up with GE Aviation at an investment of ₹141.26 crore. TAMCoE is a specialised 3D additive printing centre.
