A British Airways pilot, Mike Beaton, has been dismissed after admitting to snorting cocaine off a woman's breasts before his flight. Beaton went out on an alcohol and drug-fueled night out in Johannesburg prior to flying a plane to the UK. He shared the details of his night in text messages with a colleague, who reported him. The airline then found an alternative pilot. Beaton was suspended following an investigation that found Class A drugs in his system. British Airways emphasized that no risk was posed to passengers and that Beaton no longer works for the airline. "Safety is always our top priority. The matter was referred to the CAA [Civil Aviation Authority], and this individual no longer works for us," said British Airways in a statement to The Telegraph. The incident prompted a memo to the airline's staff, reinforcing its "zero-tolerance approach" to inappropriate behavior.
