A second round of strike action has taken place at Beal High School in Redbridge as a dispute over sickness pay rumbles on. Teachers and support staff are taking to the picket line to protest against a sickness pay policy which they say unfairly differentiates between those employed pre-and post-2016. They also allege the school has a policy whereby any member of staff who is ill is automatically subject to assessments of capability. Beal High School denies both allegations.
