This is the dramatic moment a car balanced precariously on a sinkhole in India. The massive hole in the middle of the road suddenly appeared after a heavy rain and caught the driver when it subsided in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on March 3. Footage shows the red car dangerously teetering on the edge of the hole as locals and passerby watched from a distance. The driver was later extracted with the help of local officers. Meanwhile, Lucknow divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob said he sought assistance from the public works department to repair the road within 24 hours. Aside from damaged roads, heavy rain and hailstorms hit parts of Uttar Pradesh, resulting in four deaths from separate lightning strike incidents. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said he directed the authorities to provide financial assistance to affected individuals promptly.
