A new poll shows that more Americans smoke marijuana daily than drink alcohol daily. The YouGov survey of 1,116 U.S. adults revealed that 84 percent have tried alcohol, while only 48 percent have tried marijuana. Monthly, 41 percent drink alcohol and 17 percent use marijuana. Daily usage, however, was higher for marijuana, with 8 percent using it daily compared to 5 percent for alcohol. The poll also found that alcohol drinkers are nearly three times more likely to feel they would benefit from reducing their consumption than marijuana users, Marijuana users also said they were often unsure if changing their usage frequency would be beneficial.
